Dr. Ing. Quim. Gustavo Domínguez Espinosa
Dr. Gustavo Domínguez Espinosa works as Latitude Manager since January 2017.
Graduated from Universidad de la República, he holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, 2001. He obtained his doctorate at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2006. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Technical University of Lodz, Poland, 2007, and at the University of Leipzig, Germany (2007 – 2008). Participated in the course of Polymers, Materials and Technology, organized by JICA, Osaka, Japan 1997.
It presents more than 20 scientific publications in refereed journals, and more than 10 in proceedings of international conferences, 5 patents of invention, participates in more than 25 international congresses. Member of the DPG (Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft), referee for scientific publications.
2013 – 2016: Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU). Manager of Research, Development and Innovation (I + D + i).
2008 – 2013: ABB Corporate Research, Sweden. Senior Scientist. Manager of research and development projects in high voltage electrical insulation in direct current and use of ablation of polymeric materials to improve the efficiency of low voltage switches.
2007 – 2008: Postdoctoral researcher. Leipzig Universität. Use of optical tweezers for the characterization of interactions in polymeric brushes.
2007: Postdoctoral researcher. Technical University of Lodz. Knowledge transfer (Madam Curie), Training of scientists in the use of dielectric spectroscopyin polymers, nanocomposites and hydrogels.
